About Seqora
Seqora is a desktop database client for PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB and SQLite, on Windows and macOS. I'm Ayushman Gupta, and I make it on my own from Hyderabad, India.
Why I started it
I wasn't happy with my database client. It took a while to open, and the shortcuts never felt right to me. Most days I only wanted to look at a few rows, and I was waiting on the tool before I could do that.
So in July 2026 I wrote a small, rough version that did one thing: open a database and let me move around it fast. I used it every day. Using it is what told me what to build next.
Before I wrote any feature list, I wrote down four questions I wanted answered without clicking around:
- Which connection am I on?
- Will this change data?
- What just ran?
- How does this table relate to that one?
Most of what Seqora does comes from those four questions.
What Seqora is
It runs on your computer. There is no account and no cloud in the middle. Your queries go straight from your machine to your database, and your connection details and passwords stay on your computer.
PostgreSQL gets the most attention, because it's what I use most. MySQL, MariaDB and SQLite work too, and the Guide says where they differ.
Free covers browsing data, the SQL editor, editing rows and the ER diagram. It has no time limit, needs no account, and you can use it at work. Pro adds the parts I reach for when I change a schema: object pages, the visual EXPLAIN, schema design, compare and history, and the index advisor. Pricing has the full list.
How it's made
Seqora is a personal project, not a company. There is no team. When the Guide or the Blog says "I", that's me.
I fix the small annoying things first, because those are the ones you hit every day. Every version and what changed in it is on the releases page.
