Read-only until you unlock it
Each connection opens locked. Writing takes a deliberate unlock, and production says so in colour.
Seqora is a desktop client for PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB and SQLite. Browse data, write SQL, and design schema changes you can read before they run.
Beta for Windows and macOS. Free during the beta.
Also available on Windows
The design canvas: tables you can drag, columns you can link, and the SQL for every change written beside them.
Draw the change. Seqora writes the SQL, checks your data, rehearses it in a transaction it rolls back, then applies it in one.
And a page for each of these
Object pages for indexes, sequences, functions and views.
Seqora runs on your machine and talks only to your database.
The data grid with one staged edit waiting for review.
Each connection opens locked. Writing takes a deliberate unlock, and production says so in colour.
Tick a checkbox above. Nothing is written until you review every before and after value.
Connections and history live in an encrypted local store, keyed from your system's keychain.
Nothing to sign in to. SSH tunnels and TLS are built in for databases you cannot reach directly.
I built Seqora because I kept two tools open: one to look at data, and one to work out the schema around it.
Indexes, sequences and partitions were names in a sidebar. To learn what one actually did, I queried the catalog by hand. Every schema change was a script written somewhere else and run with my fingers crossed.
Seqora is one window for both. It shows the structure, lets you change it on a canvas, and tells you what a change will do before it runs. It is a beta built by one person, so tell me what is missing.
